Joseph Marchisella is a Nurse Practitioner and Credentialled Diabetes Educator with more than fifteen years of experience across public and private diabetes services. He specialises in Type 1 Diabetes and diabetes technology, with a strong focus on insulin pump therapy, automated insulin delivery systems, continuous glucose monitoring optimisation, structured education, and practical troubleshooting to improve glucose outcomes, safety, and quality of life. Joseph has extensive experience supporting people across the lifespan, including transition to adult care, and managing complex presentations such as hypoglycaemia unawareness, recurrent diabetic ketoacidosis risk, pregnancy and post partum care, and cardiovascular and complication risk reduction. His approach is evidence based and person centred, combining advanced clinical assessment and prescribing with education, coaching, and shared decision making to help people confidently self manage using modern diabetes technology.
Practice location and appointment options:
Diabetes consultations are offered through a mixture of face to face and telehealth appointments. Face to face appointments are available either in the Springfield and Greater Ipswich area or at a Brisbane central location.
